A BILL to amend article nine-d, chapter eighteen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
seventeen, relating to continuing the school building
authority.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine-d, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
seventeen, to read as follows:
§18-9D-17. Continuation.
The Legislature hereby finds and declares that the school
building authority shall continue to exist until the first day of
July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-six, to allow for the completion of a full performance audit through the joint committee
on government operations pursuant to the provisions of article ten,
chapter four of this code.
Note: The purpose of this bill is to continue the School
Building Authority until July 1, 1996, to allow for the completion
of a full performance audit by the Joint Committee on Government
Operations, pursuant to West Virginia's Sunset Law.
